Picton Castle and Woodland Gardens

Upton Gardens, on the banks of the Carew River, has a remarkable collection of shrubs, rhododendrons and trees from all around the world. These delightful gardens encompass 35 acres of parkland with woodland walks, formal terraces, rose gardens, a 13th century chapel and a Lovers Lane, which winds its way to the shores of the Carew River.

National Wetlands Centre in Llanelli.

For a wonderful day out in a uniquely beautiful landscape, watching and learning about some of Wales' most exciting wildlife. One of the world-famous Wildfowl and Wetland Trust centres and the only one of its kind in Wales, the centre stretches over 550 acres of Burry inlet. Its spectacular mosaic of lakes, pools, lagoons and reed beds are home to a diversity of wild species. There are also thousands of ducks, geese, swans and flamingoes to admire as you wander the landscaped pathways and striking water gardens.
